FetchJ terms of use
Draft – in force upon publication. The law of the Republic of Costa Rica applies. The Spanish version prevails.
1. What FetchJ is. FetchJ is a helper program by Mute Consult LLC (EIN 86-3386801, 3833 Powerline Road, Suite 101, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309, United States). It is an independent product and not a product of the Poder Judicial. FetchJ downloads to your computer the documents that the portal “Gestión en Línea” shows you under your own login, and displays them in an orderly way.
2. What FetchJ is not. FetchJ does not replace the portal or official notifications. You must keep checking deadlines and notifications in the portal and through official channels.
3. Limits. FetchJ can only download what the portal delivers. The portal may fail, change, deliver documents late or not at all (“not downloadable”). FetchJ shows such documents as not downloadable and lists them in the error report. We therefore cannot guarantee complete or timely delivery. The “unread” mark is an aid, not a guarantee.
4. Your duties. You log in to the portal yourself; FetchJ never types, reads or stores your user name, password or code. You protect your computer and your data (password, encryption, backups).
5. Your data. Your case files stay on your computer; we never receive them. For the licence we process your name, cédula, phone number and e-mail only to grant and check the licence and for invoicing, in accordance with Ley 8968. You have the right of access, correction and deletion: fetchjudicial@gmail.com. Support data is sent only if you choose to; it is cleaned first (no credentials, names or case numbers).
6. Liability. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damage caused by failures or errors of the portal, by documents the portal does not deliver, by improper use, or by loss of data on your computer. Otherwise, to the extent permitted by law, liability is limited to the licence fee paid in the last 12 months. Mandatory rights under Ley 7472 remain unaffected.
7. Law. The law of the Republic of Costa Rica applies.
